Why We Started Heritage Links Oufitters

Heritage Links started the way most good ideas do — with nostalgia, a golf trip, and a minor wardrobe crisis.

Growing up, we were always fascinated by our grandpa’s golf clothes. The sweaters, the patterns, the weight of them. They weren’t flashy. They weren’t trying too hard. They just felt like golf. Like they belonged to a different era — one where the game moved a little slower and meant a little more.

Fast forward to a boys golf trip to Pinehurst. We had this vision in our heads: cool morning tee time, walking onto the first tee in a vintage-style golf sweater. Classic. Timeless. The kind of sweater that makes you feel like you should be carrying a persimmon driver.

There was just one problem — we couldn’t find anything like that.

So we did what any rational people would do. We went to eBay and bought two old-school sweaters. And honestly? They were awesome. The vibe was perfect.

But they were also heavy enough to double as winter coats… and one had a couple of holes that definitely weren’t “distressed on purpose.”

That’s when we started talking.

Why doesn’t this exist? Why can’t you get that true vintage golf look — the kind that reminds you where the game came from — but with modern comfort and wearability?

Golf isn’t just a sport. It’s an experience. It’s early tee times, stories told walking down the fairway, traditions passed down, and the quiet respect for a game that’s been around longer than any of us.

Vintage golf clothing captures that feeling.

So we decided to build it ourselves.

Heritage Links is our way of bringing back that timeless look — without the extra weight, without the moth holes, and without digging through the internet hoping for the right size.

Just classic design. Modern feel. And a nod to the generations who walked the fairways before us.
